Coaxing a Dream

What happens when we act in alignment with the wisdom of our soul and the desires of our spirit? 

For me, it's the feeling of wanting what I already have.  

Before I ever started playing with metal and stone, I worked with alizarin crimson, sap green, graphite, pastels, ink, and printing presses... galavanting on the two dimensional plane.  Since making jewelry became my main squeeze, I've dabbled with paint and paper, harboring an intention... a dream.  The dream is to work as a fine artist.  Everyday.  To work BIG.  To conjure images on the backs of my eyelids and let them flow smoothly onto canvas, the mechanics greased and warm from regular use.   

The thing about dreams: they're content to float in the ethereal, forever.  To bring them down to earth takes ingenuity and coaxing.  

So, I'm coaxing.  I'm building the habit of picking up a brush after putting my daughter to bed, rather than scrolling Instagram on the couch.  I'm trying things with oil, wax, and gouache and finding some of them don't work, and some of them do.  I'm inviting YOU to help me manifest my dream... here's how:
